    Getting Started

GGconnect is here to support you, the project leader. We have some resources below to help you get started, but we depend on you to let us know what you need. The best way to do that is for you to register and let everyone know who you are and what you need. Read below for information on GGConnect and how to get started!

If you're a volunteer or someone interested in the GlobalGiving Project Leader community, please read our community purpose, register, and welcome to the community!

Employee Giving 2008: Prepare to participate NOW!

Last year (2007) employee giving campaigns raised $294,322 for GlobalGiving Projects.  Project Leaders and Project Sponsors, re-write your project information (see a revised project example here), post an update, and make sure your project organization information is updated to ensure your spot in Employee Giving 2008!  Remember, you are now required to post 2 project specific updates per year.

Are any of your GlobalGiving projects not attracting as many donations as you would like?  Maybe you should retire them and post new projects or perhaps you should re-write them and post an update to guarantee your participation in EG 2008, a sure way to attract new donors and increase donation volume!

You should have received an email from GlobalGiving with what you need to do. If you haven't then please contact Mason Smith (msmith@globalgiving.com) or Saima Zaman (szaman@globalgiving.com) immediately!

Project Updates and GlobalGiving

Our recent research demonstrates how much more successful report-posting projects are than projects without reports: average funding of all projects with a report is $9,444 compared to $2,624 earned by those without reports.  Going forward we are requiring 2 updates a year for each project posted on GlobalGiving!

Check out how to make your project update as effective as possible here!

Stephanie Fischer, GlobalGiving staffer, was pleased to meet groups of project leaders in Cape Town and Nairobi July 7 and 11.  As promised, here is the powerpoint.  We would love to hear your feedback at sfischer@globalgiving.com.
Did you know?
GlobalGiving has been conducting donor research these past few months. Their feedback helps us give you better guidance on writing better projects and updates.
